For the story only you can tell

Keep it now, in the words you’d use.

The way someone tells a thing doesn’t last on its own. It takes about three generations for a family’s stories to go quiet.

Most of us mean to write it all down — how your mother tells that story, what the ordinary Tuesday felt like, the things you’d want your kids to know. And most of us wait too long; nearly half of people who’ve lost someone wish they’d recorded them first.

You don’t need to sit down and write a memoir. You just need to say it once. Ekome keeps it — in your own words, the way you said it — and brings it back to you over time.

Ekome won’t rewrite your story into a neat little book, and it won’t tell you what any of it meant. It keeps what you said, the way you said it. (Your words are kept; the audio is deleted once it’s written down.)
